Green Officiency
A guide to lowering the environmental impact
of your office
12th July 2007, DeHavilland Conference Centre, Hatfield
This half day event will provide information and solutions
to cutting office waste and saving money. Businesses can save
by cutting their use of resources such as paper, water and electricity.
Envirowise estimates these savings could be as much as £200
per employee.
Becoming more resource efficient need not be a burden for offices.
It is the simple things that make all the difference - from
fitting free water-saving 'hippos' into toilet cisterns to routinely
switching off computers at the end of the day. Envirowise experience
has shown that simple, good practice measures can cut office
equipment energy costs by up to 50 percent.
HREC coordinator, Dr Madeleine Hall, will present this workshop
which will cover and include:
- Practical tips on waste minimisation in the office
- Advice on choosing greener office products
- A case study presenting a successful Green Office initiative
- A free copy of the Green Officiency CD-ROM.
This session is would benefit any individuals at the beginning
of their journey to becoming resource efficient, particularly
Office and General Managers.
